This policy applies to koderusacademy.com and the KODERUS Akademija Android app. The data controller is UAB KODERUS. For personal data matters, contact info@koderus.lt.
Data we process
Registration and profile information includes your name, email, phone number, date of birth, country, city, language and the business or company details you provide. We also process account status, registration and consent dates, course selections, lesson progress, test answers and results, completion and certificate information. Sign-in and technical data can include IP address, browser and device information. If you use the AI assistant, your question is processed; do not send passwords or other sensitive information to it.
Purposes and legal bases
We administer your account, learning, tests, certificates and service communications to provide the service you request and perform the learning agreement (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). Security and abuse prevention rely on legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f)); legal obligations rely on Article 6(1)(c). Optional analytics and marketing tracking rely on your consent (Article 6(1)(a)). The Academy is intended for adults.
Academy and KODERUS CRM
Registration contact details, business or company information you provide, and learning statuses with dates are transferred to the KODERUS CRM at koderussales.com, operated by UAB KODERUS. This supports participation administration, progress and completion tracking, and contact about learning or a partnership you request. Account and learning status updates may be transferred automatically. Registration alone does not constitute consent to optional advertising tracking.
Service providers and recipients
Authorised KODERUS staff and technology providers access data according to their functions. These include the Base44 platform and email, video and AI service providers. External video players may receive technical device and request information. With separate consent, Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel and Google Ads are used. Transfers outside the European Economic Area must rely on an applicable GDPR transfer basis and safeguards. Contact info@koderus.lt for information about specific recipients and transfer safeguards.
Cookies and choices
Technologies required for sign-in and core service functions are used to provide the service. Optional analytics and marketing tools are activated according to separate choices. You may select essential cookies only and continue registering and learning. You can change or withdraw consent in cookie settings. Further details are provided on the cookie information page.
Retention
For non-partners, account and learning data, including registration-linked CRM and certificate data, are retained for 2 years from the last activity in the Academy. Partner data is retained while the partnership agreement remains valid. At the end of the applicable period, data is deleted or irreversibly anonymised, except data that must be retained for legal obligations or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. Exceptions apply only to necessary data for the necessary period and do not justify indefinite retention of the entire account. We explain the specific reason and period of an exception on request.
Account deletion and your rights
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability where applicable, or object to processing based on legitimate interests. You may withdraw consent without affecting earlier lawful processing. Request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing info@koderus.lt or using the page below, without signing in. Account ownership verification may be required. The request also covers linked Academy data in CRM, subject to justified retention exceptions. Uninstalling the app does not delete your account.
Contact and complaints
Controller: UAB KODERUS. Email: info@koderus.lt. We respond within GDPR time limits, generally one month, and inform you about any lawful extension and its reason. You may complain to Lithuania's State Data Protection Inspectorate (vdai.lrv.lt) or the supervisory authority in the EU country where you live or work. Policy changes are communicated by updating this page and version date, with additional notice where required.
